The Olympics have mascots?

I was browsing around on the net to find some interesting news updates and decided to turn my search on the 2012 Olympics.  It seemed a good topic since it’s what the entire world is watching as I type this very article.  However, instead of focusing on something amazing like South Korea’s Im Dong-hyun, who is legally blind, setting the first world records of the London Olympics in archery, I turned my attention to this year’s mascots “Wenlock and Mandeville.”  These “drops of steel” (whatever that means) are nothing but arms, legs, body, and a gigantic eye for a head.  Through further exploration on this article on the HuffingtonPost; I found many of the previous mascots, which were all almost as intriguing as Wenlock and Mandeville.  I highly recommend you look up this article and find your favorite mascot of the Olympics.  Vucko the wolf really took it for me, just for the pure humor of someone like an announcer talking about Vucko.  Just try saying it out loud once, you’ll understand.
