Got Wood?

I knew sculptures could be astounding works of art, something of which my shaky hands could never accomplish, but when I was shown a link on Tumblr of these human sculptures made of only wood I spit my coffee like an old cartoon.  I had to find more of these sculptures to blow my mind just a little further off the grid, because one picture wasn’t enough.  These incredibly realistic sculptures are crafted by a man named Bruno Walpoth, an Italian artist born in the late 50s.  At first glance of all of his work is just flawless, it’s hard to believe that it could even be wood, but as you inspect it further you can see all the care and time put into this single block to come out with such a masterpiece.  Check out his wood, lead, and even some great drawings at his website here: www.walpoth.com
